OSM 100 Mile Race finishes in Clifden.
The O'Sullivans Marine 100 mile race stared in Fenit at 19.55 on Friday evening (5th August). Five boats took part and arrived in Clifden at around 10.30 on Sunday 6th.
Weather was reasonable during the run but a spell of flat calm at about 6.00 am with rain and a heavy swell produced challenging conditions for a while.
John Conway and crew took line Honours with "Golden Kopper", which was great sailing as he was delayed nearly 40 minutes due to an engine problem !.
First overall was Finbar O'Connor and Crew in "Triona"
Second Place Ray Gibney and Crew in "Disarray"
Third John Conway and Crew "Golden Kopper"
Clifden boat Club would like to thank all those who took part for coming to Clifden and wish them a successful weekend at our upcoming regatta on the 13th and 14th.
