The 1907 Cup

in Clifden

Clifden Boat Club is a small Club situated on the West Coast of Ireland,
Just 1.6km outside the picturesque town of Clifden, Connemara.

Clifden has a long history of boating,
ie. The cup pictured left says "Clifden Bay Regatta 1907".

The committee and members of the club have been working hard to provide
some great yacht racing and sail training over the years.

One highlight, in recent years, was 2007 when Clifden hosted the
WIORA West Coast Championships for the first time ... and again in 2008 and 2011.
Another may be, 2010, when our Clifden Team won 1st Place and the Club received
a brand new rib with engine and trailer in the National RIB Challenge 2010.

The team at Clifden Boat Club, are looking forward to another
exciting and, hopefully, rewarding boating season in 2018.

Keep track of what we are getting up to by checking our news page
and our calendar of events for the coming year.

The Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant and the Club's Sailing School
are also on Facebook check the above links.

Please feel free to contact any of the current committee for any further information.
