WIORA West Of Ireland Offshore Racing Association
WIORA Championship:
Tralee Bay Sailing Club is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and is also hosting the 50th annual West of Ireland Offshore Racing Association Championship from 01 – 04 July 2026. Boats can race under the IRC and ECHO handicap rules, and depending on the level of interest, WIORA can offer the opportunity for a one design class series (for example, in 2026, there will be an Irish Soling Open run as part of the event).
To be eligible for the Overall prize the boat must meet the ICRA definition of a cruiser racer. Only boats who meet the definition of a cruiser racer can enter under IRC, but there is no such restriction regarding entry under ECHO.
