Here are the details of the prize and the terms and conditions: You agree to these terms and conditions if you enter the Clifden Boat Club Lottery.

The prize consists of

  • Accommodation on our 55′ boat Artemis (bed linen and towel included, 2 double ensuite and 2 bunk bed ensuite rooms, all with a fan and usb-ports)
  • Skipper and hostess / first mate
  • Provisioning for all breakfast and lunches, you don’t have to do any shopping yourself
  • Breakfast buffet will be set up by us (f.e. Greek yogurt, fresh bread from the local bakery, granola, honey, cheeses, vegetables and fruits, several spreads, fried eggs, personal preferences we’ll include in our provisioning)
  • Lunch will be cooked by us, like a curry, pasta, burgers, sandwiches salads – whatever inspiration hits us and what you like, we like to use plenty of fresh veggies.
  • Coffee (French press), tea, soft drinks, during the entire charter
  • Happy hour for the first night, we arrange some wine, beers, maybe a gin tonic, after that’s finished it’s bring your own alcohol
  • Dinner on the boat one evening when we’re in a remote quiet anchorage (skipper Paul might pull out his guitar and give you a mini concert while at that anchorage)
  • Free sailing instructions if desired, you don’t have to sail at all but we could teach you if you want
  • Paddle board
  • Snorkel gear
  • All boat running costs, cleaning, electricity, water and such
  • All taxes
  • All marina fees
Excluded are transportation from and to the boat, onshore dinners, alcoholic drinks after the Happy Hour supply we provide you with (BYO!), and gratuity for the crew.

The Clifden Boat Club Sailing Holiday Lottery

Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter

The promoter of this lottery is The Clifden Boat Club, located at Castle Demesne, Beach Road, Clifden, Co. Galway.

  1. Purpose of the Lottery

This lottery is organised by the Club as a fundraising initiative to support the ongoing activities, development, and maintenance of the Club and its facilities.

  1. Eligibility
  1. Entry is open to persons aged 18 years or over at the time of ticket purchase.
  2. Tickets may be purchased by residents of Ireland and other jurisdictions where participation in such lotteries is permitted by law.
  3. Members of the Club, their families, and the general public may enter unless otherwise restricted by law.
  4. The Club reserves the right to request proof of age and identity.
  1. Ticket Price
  1. Each ticket costs €50 (fifty euro).
  2. Each ticket purchased constitutes one entry into the draw.
  3. There is no limit on the number of tickets an individual may purchase unless otherwise stated by the Club.
  4. Tickets are non-refundable except in the event that the lottery is cancelled.
  1. Lottery Period
  1. Ticket sales will commence on 1st April 2026.
  2. Ticket sales will close at 18.00 hrs on Saturday 24th October or when all available tickets have been sold, whichever occurs first.
  1. The Prize
  1. The prize consists of a Sailing Holiday around the Dodecanese with an approximate value of €8,000 (eight thousand euro).
  2. The prize includes chartered sailing accommodation and associated holiday services, as specified by the Club or its nominated travel provider.
  3. The winners of this great prize will enjoy a week sailing on a skippered charter organised by  long-time member of Clifden Boat Club Paul Ryan who will bring you for a week’s island hopping around the Dodecanese.
    SV Artemis, a beautiful 55ft sloop with three double en-suite cabins for guests will be all yours for a once in a lifetime sailing holiday. This is a full charter for up to six people in Greece during the summer of 2027
    This unique holiday and will suit sailors and non-sailors alike.

The raffle prize is seven nights on board with breakfast and some meals are included.

  1. Unless explicitly stated, the prize does not include:
    • Flights
    • Travel insurance
    • Personal expenses
    • Transfers
    • Meals or additional activities
  2. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered unless the Club decides otherwise at its sole discretion.
  3. The winner is responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documents and meet any travel requirements.
  1. The Draw
  1. The winning ticket will be drawn at random in October 2026 at a location and time determined by the Club.
  2. The draw may take place at a Club event and may be witnessed by Club members or independent observers.
  3. The result of the draw is final.
  1. Winner Notification
  1. The winner will be notified using the contact details provided at the time of ticket purchase.
  2. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, the Club reserves the right to draw an alternative winner.
  1. Prize Acceptance
  1. The winner may be required to provide identification and proof of ticket purchase.
  2. The Club may request permission to use the winner’s name and photograph for promotional purposes related to the lottery.
  1. Liability
  1. The Club shall not be liable for:
    • Any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the lottery.
    • Any issues relating to travel arrangements or services provided by third-party providers.
  2. The prize winner accepts the prize at their own risk.
  1. Data Protection
  1. Personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of the lottery and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  2. Information will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for prize fulfilment.
  1. Cancellation or Modification

The Club reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the lottery or these Terms & Conditions where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

  1. Acceptance

Participation in the lottery constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
