Talk by Eddy Stoker and friends discussing gear entanglements and other ways of  getting in to trouble.

Well known Irish sailor from Ballyferriter will give a talk on participating in the Golden Globe single handed round the world race and his plans for taking part again this year in his boat Silvermines Hydro. This will be a very interesting talk by one of Irelands top sailors. Not to be missed.

Eddy Stoker relates the experience of competing in the iconic Fastnet Race.

Come along and help tidy the Boat Club and Eddy Stoker will be giving instructors an outboard training course.

Come along to the Clubhouse and enjoy an evening of trivia. This battle of intellects will start around 7pm so why not join us. Junior Members and Members only.

All boats are invited to join a cruise to Inishbofin leaving Clifden on the 1st May and returning on the 2nd. Those that wish to join in the fun can also head to Bofin on the ferry from Cleggan. Eddy Stoker, Tony Whelan and James Golden  are heading away to sail the West and South Coast of Ireland.  

Michael has kindly offered to talk to us about the wealth of ancient historic sites on the Connemara Coastline. This is bound to be a fascinating talk. Not to be missed. Light refreshment available. This is scheduled for 29th May but subject to confirmation.

Informal evening sailing and sometimes racing and a pint in the Club House afterwards. Every Thursday Evening. Quite often there is room for crew on the participating boats so come down to the boat club and enquire.

We will be organising a barbecue at the boat club for promotion of junior sailing. Everyone is welcome to come along Juniors, parents members and guests for a fun afternoon. Dinghy sailing will be available too.

TRALEE Bay Sailing Club in Fenit is preparing to host a special event on Saturday week. ‘Women at the Helm’ is an annual sailing regatta for dinghy and keelboat racing, where all boats are helmed by women.
